Why Lowering?
🧍 Enhanced security and control
- Stability when stopping: Especially in stop-and-go traffic or at traffic lights, it is important to stand securely on the ground with both feet. This reduces the risk of losing your balance — especially with heavy machines.
- Better handling when maneuvering: When rolling backwards, parking, or pushing the motorcycle, a low center of gravity is worth its weight in gold. You can control the bike more easily without contorting yourself.
🧠 More confidence and driving comfort
- Psychological advantage: When you feel safe, you ride more relaxed. A lower seat height can boost your confidence in your riding skills — especially for beginners or those getting back into riding.
- Less stress in critical situations: Whether on steep terrain, in strong winds, or when turning in tight spaces, a lower motorcycle gives you more control and reduces uncertainty.
🛠️ Individual adjustment to physique and riding style
- Ergonomic benefits: If you have short legs, for example, lowering the seat can optimize your sitting position and prevent tension—especially on longer rides.
- Better balance when getting on and off: No more fumbling around when getting on or risky dismounting on sloping ground — you simply have more room to maneuver.
Lowering kit, because not everybody is standard.
With a lowering kit, your safe stand is guaranteed.
The wheelbase decides the ride! If you want to go fast straight ahead, you’ll need a longer wheelbase for better stability. But if you like curves more, you should consider a shorter wheelbase. When installing a lowering kit into your bike, the seat position will be more comfortable and your safe stand is guaranteed, for a better control of your bike. There is nothing worse, than just touching the ground withe the toe tips when sitting on your bike.
